Most people I know struggle with figuring out which statistical analysis they are supposed to be using…Seriously. Like, most graduate students I know still have problems with it and so do many professors.

So here’s a little cheat sheet. It won’t answer your question if you’re getting too complex, but for all you intro-to-stats folks out there…this should do the trick.

Note Taking – 101

As a teacher and even as a teaching assistant, I see college students do certain things repeatedly that tend to hinder their success in school.

Sometimes, it’s complicated: struggling with time management, prioritizing inappropriately, and so on.

But most of the time, the issues that cause college students the biggest problems appear to be relatively simple issues, like not showing up to class, not sleeping enough, not doing homework.

Well, something that a lot of students talk to me about is how they struggle with taking good notes in class…So I put together this little video to try and help out. Maybe it will help, maybe it won’t. But these are some pretty solid tips for taking good notes.
